UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Aldana comes a week after one of the most exciting PPVs in recent memory. However, the card looks like it will do justice to the action that came before it. One of the exciting fights between Tom Breese and Roman Kopylov, however, has been canceled. Kopylov tested positive for the coronavirus and had to be taken off the card.

Kopylov last fought on UFN 163: Magomedsharipov vs Kattar, in which he lost to Karl Roberson. That was his UFC debut, and the bout against six-fight veteran Tom Breese was supposed to be his comeback. However, Kopylov is left without an opponent. Breese will be getting a new fight on next week’s card against debutant KB Bhullar.

“Due to a positive COVID-19 test, Roman Kopylov has been removed from his middleweight bout with Tom Breese. Replacing him is undefeated Canadian UFC newcomer KB Bhullar, who has finished an impressive six of his eight wins in the first round. This bout will be moved to UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen on October 10.”

UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Aldana card

The Holm vs Aldana card is noticeably thinner than the cards we got over the last two weeks. Multiple important bouts were featured on the Tyron Woodley vs Colby Covington card, along with two championship fights at UFC 253. However, Holly Holm is still one of the bigger names in the women’s division. Irene Aldana is no easy fight for her, and she will be ready to take on the challenge.

Heavyweight fighter Yorgan De Castro gets a big opportunity in the co-main event slot against Carlos Felipe. This rivalry has taken a bitter turn, so it will be interesting to see if the favorite De Castro can pull off a big win.

While the card is stretched thin, it also has former title contenders like Germaine de Randamie and Carlos Condit. While one can be forgiven for skipping this card, these hungry contenders can still put up some great fights. Moreover, some future stars may be nestled away on this fight card.
