Anderson Silva has cemented his place among the best fighters ever. Not only in the middleweight division, but also in the organization’s history. ‘The Spider’ had announced that the fight against Uriah Hall would be his last in the promotion as he is set to retire. This will draw the curtains on one of the most decorated careers in the UFC. 

Ever since his debut, Silva has been tearing apart the middleweight division where he now holds multiple records. On Saturday, he will be looking to bounce back from a two-fight skid against a dangerous adversary in Uriah Hall.

Anderson Silva Vs Uriah Hall is set to be a middleweight delight 

‘The Spider’ has secured an impressive 68% of his wins via T/KO, of which a record 11 have come in the UFC.  Silva landed a staggering 3.04 significant strikes per minute in 42 appearances in the promotion. 

He has a 61% significant strike defense, and it is reflected in the 1.98 significant strikes absorbed per minute. Anderson has just three submissions victories in his career and therefore he is most likely to win the fight on his feet.

Hall, on the other hand, has also secured a large chunk of his wins via TKO/KO; 73% to be precise. Going into the fight he will have a two-inch reach advantage over ‘The Spider’. ‘Primetime’ has landed an impressive 3.31 significant strikes per minute. 

However, his significant strike defense is 53% which is below par and means that he has absorbed a concerning 3.57 significant strikes per minute. Uriah has just one submission win in his career. Therefore, his best bet to win the fight is to keep it standing as well. This will ensure that UFC fans are treated to a slugfest.

‘Prime Time’ will have to be cautious though as he faces one of the best strikers in the game ever who may still have one good punch or kick left in him even at the age of 45.

Silva will aim to close the chapter on his illustrious career on a high note against Uriah Hall. However, it will not be an easy feat to achieve. Will ‘The Spider’ get a fairy tale ending to his UFC career on Halloween? Only time will tell.
