Joaquin Buckley added another impressive knockout to his highlight reel with a second-round TKO victory over Jordan Wright at UFC 255. ‘New Mansa’ proved that he can back up all the hype that he had garnered leading into the fight following his stellar KO win over Impa Kasanganay last time out.

‘New Mensa’ stepped into the UFC octagon for the third time today and secured his second win. With little to no damage taken and seemingly injury-free, Buckley is now eyeing a fight against local rival James Krause at Fight Island in January.

Joaquin Buckley reveals his vicious plans for James Krause

In the post-fight interview while talking to Joe Rogan, ‘New Mansa’ gave his thoughts on the fight and called out a rival. He said, “Yes sir, when I seen his eyes roll back at the back of his head. I’m a nice guy man. He’s a nice guy that’s why I did not want to hurt him. But it’s other dudes out there that I wanna fight, who talking that nonsense and I really want to hurt them. Cause when I hurt him the referee can’t save him. Y’all know who I’m talking about.”

James Krause and Joaquin Buckley is a rivalry that not many people know about. Krause in a recent interview revealed that ‘New Mensa’ had contacted him to train at his gym.

However, Krause declined as he revealed that Buckley had been kicked out of every gym in St. Louis as he was not a good teammate.

The welterweight fighter said, All he does is try and hurt his training partners, all he does is fight, he doesn’t want to get better, he doesn’t want to learn. Right there, that rules him out for me.”

Krause fights in a weight division below Buckley. However, he has stated that he is willing to move up in weight to fight ‘New Mansa’. Unfortunately, Krause is currently injured with a partially torn MCL. Therefore, a fight at Fight Island in January seems unlikely.
