Former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington is one of the most polarizing stars in the history of UFC. The American displays a persona that has made people label him as a bad guy. In a sport where fighting skills decide the future of a fighter, he has created a different dimension for himself with a Skillset both in the ring and on the microphone.
In a recent interview with Lara Trump of ‘The Right View’, ‘Chaos’ detailed what he feels about the fans who don’t like his persona. “I love the people that doubt on me, they hate on me,” Colby told Trump. “They start screaming awkward things at me. They wanna see me die, or this and that.”

“It drives me to wanna prove them wrong and put it in their face. You have an opinion, but your opinion is not right, and it’s ok to have a different opinion than someone sometimes. But you don’t have to get on them for having a different opinion than you.”
According to Colby, there are many who play the nice guy gimmick and nobody stands apart from the other. “So it’s good to stand out and be a villain and be someone that’s different from the regular grain,” he said.
Apart from fans, there are many in UFC who don’t really like Colby’s persona. He always speaks his mind on almost every other fighter, doesn’t matter if that fighter is facing him or not.
