UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley is gearing up to face Louis Smolka at UFC 264 on July 10. This will be a quick turnaround for him as he last fought at UFC 260 against Thomas Almeida.

O’Malley is one of the rising stars of the promotion. There are many qualities that separate him from other fighters. Recently, he appeared in an interview with The SCHMO where he talked about his upcoming fight, interests in boxing, and also his new avatar with blond hair.

The SCHMO started his interview by asking O’Malley about the blonde hair. “This is all the colors that faded from shampoo, conditioning,” O’Malley said. “So, it’s kind of faded to this color, blonde. I don’t mind it. I look cute, I think.”

This is not the first time O’Malley is asked about his hairstyle. During an early episode of the UFC 252 embedded series, he had colored his hair yellow, blue, and red, which resembled an Ecuadorian flag.

He had explained then from where he got the idea of coloring his hair. “The inspiration I got to color my hair, I’d have to say was from Chito,” he said during the UFC 252 media day. “(He) gave me the inspiration.”

“I’m just showing my Ecuadorian fans some love. I think every fight we’ll do something different and have a nice little theme. It’s something I look forward to, and it’s fun.”

Sean O’Malley takes inspiration from Jake and Logan Paul

O’Malley (13-1), unlike most of the UFC fighters, shares a good bond with Jake and Logan Paul. He also gave his opinion on the duos recent matches.

He described why he wanted to be like those two. “I love it. I’m inspired by them. You know, when I got into the UFC, into fighting, I wanted to be an entertainer. That’s kind of like the title I wanted to be known, I wanted to be an entertainer.”

“I’m a huge fan of Jake, huge fan of Logan,” he said. “Lot of people hate it. I was excited, I watched the fight. I was shaken, I was ready for Logan to somehow crack him. He didn’t. Floyd’s a legend, Floyd’s an animal.”
