Francis Ngannou has his eyes set on a fight against Jon Jones. The fight would be massive for Ngannou, both financially and in terms of his legacy in the sport. Being able to defeat Jon Jones fair and square is not something anyone in the UFC has been able to say. Therefore, it makes sense as to why ‘The Predator’ is chasing a fight against Jon Jones.

Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones would be the biggest fight in the history of the heavyweight division

Ngannou recently was spotted strolling in the streets of Los Angeles when TMZ caught up to him. The reporter asked Ngannou what he made of a potential fight with Jon Jones and if he was still interested in it.

Ngannou said, “I want Jon Jones. Definitely… I don’t care about what the talk says… I love that fight.” He continued, “I have some size, too. I’m strong, too. I’m impressed. I know he’s very skilled, very talented. I respect that. But we are both men, and we’re going to find out”

It appears as though ‘Bones’ has replied to Ngannou’s recent comments on TMZ. While the war of words between the two men rages on, they’re nowhere close to getting a fight booked. ‘Bones’ and the UFC are still way off with compensation for the fight. However, it appears as though Jones desperately wants this fight. Hence, he has enlisted the services of the former CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Richard Schaefer.

Although Schaefer has spent most of his career in boxing, Dana White respects him as he has a very good understanding of the fight game. Therefore, fans will be hoping that he can help Jones broker a deal for this mega-fight.
