Khabib Nurmagomedov recently rippled a few feathers when he shared his thoughts on ring girls in the sport of MMA. In a recent press conference in Russia, ‘The Eagle’ stated that ring girls are the ‘most useless’ people in mixed martial arts.
‘The Eagle’ further elaborated saying, “Look, I don’t want to offend anyone, ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts. What is their purpose? I have a question. You can show that it is the second round on the screen. I realize that is a history. History knows many mistakes. We read history to avoid mistakes of the past in the future. If we look in the history, it says they are useless. That is my personal opinion.”
Nate Diaz wasn’t too fond of Nurmagomedov’s take and he made sure to make his views be known.

The comments Nurmagomedov made have obviously not been well received by the ring girls themselves and a few of the fighters as well. ‘The Notorious’ took to social media to share a meme that centered around Khabib Nurmagomedov and his comments on the ring girls.
Long time UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the recent hate she had been receiving following the comments made by ‘The Eagle’. “You don’t have to like me, but you will respect me” she stated in her Instagram post.

Will we see Nate Diaz in action before the end of this year?
Nate Diaz returned to action in June 2021 after being out since November 2019. Diaz stated that he did not want to compete in an empty arena, which is why he did not compete in the UFC during that time.
Diaz took on an extremely tough test in Leon Edwards and came up short at UFC 263. He has since maintained that he would like to stay active in the division. Diaz recently had a series of back and forth on Twitter with Dustin Poirier, which led fans to believe a fight between the two might be on the cards. However, with Poirier being booked for a fight against Oliveira, it is highly unlikely.

Therefore, there is a very strong chance that a rematch between Diaz and Masvidal at 170-pounds might be next. The Stockton native stated he wanted to compete in December this year in a recent Instagram post.
