Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor have been in each other’s crosshairs for a long time now. Ferguson has, on multiple occasions, called out McGregor in a bid to secure a fight against ‘The Notorious’. Both men used to be a part of the same management company, but the relationship soured after Ferguson parted ways with Paradigm Sports.
Ferguson took to Twitter a few hours back to fire shots at Conor McGregor. He said, “Taking Growth Hormone Will Do That To Someone’s Build. You’re Mentally Weak & Your Leg Is Compromised. Your Fragile, Frail & Breakable. That GH Gon’ Make U Break Kid. Keep Pumpin’ Ya Chest Ya Cheat. Not The 1st Time God Punished You. You Like Picking On People And DJ’s? WTF Pu**y.”

Conor McGregor is not one to back down when someone fires shots at him. He replied befittingly to Ferguson’s accusations, saying, “Omg, god bless you kid. Mental basket sad case. I am going to share your scared wife’s video that was sent to us of you screaming crying as you smash your house up. What a sad b**tard u are. No brains. Empty head. Losing streak. No management. Wife sending us videos in fear.”
McGregor continued, “Me and you are fighting one day mate and I gonna end your life in there full of it. Sauce. Money. Power. I already won all the belts and the money in this game I just wanna kill one of yous rats in there now it’s the only thing left for me to do. And Watch me do it. Only on PPV.”

Diaz called Ferguson out a few hours back. Given that McGregor still has a lot of time before he can return to action, a fight between Diaz and Ferguson makes a lot of sense.

The common consensus is that when McGregor returns next year, the Diaz trilogy will most likely be next for him. However, a fight against Ferguson also makes a lot of sense, given there is genuine animosity there and a good back story as well. It will be interesting to see how this rivalry develops over the next few months.
