Khamzat Chimaev Says Darren Till Not on ‘His Level’

Khamzat Chimaev is back on Fight Island. However, this time around he will corner his teammate Guram Kutateladze. The 26-year-old fighter returns to the city where he announced his arrival in the promotion with two amazing performances in the octagon. 

Just two months after his debut, he is of the biggest and the most talked about fighters in the UFC. In his first stint in Abu Dhabi, Khamzat fought twice and broke multiple records. He set a record for the fastest turnaround victory in the UFC (10 days). He even broke the record for fastest to three wins in the UFC and wants to claim the record for four wins in a row.

Khamzat Chimaev and Darren Till have been going back and forth on social media. ‘The Gorilla’ put his name forward to face Chimaev. ‘Borz’ was asked if he was surprised that Till was willing to fight him. The Swedish fighter replied, “No, why surprised? This guy is like a nice guy, but not my level. I’m going to take him down, I’m going to smash him.

The undefeated fighter also revealed that the two men had been talking on Instagram. 

‘Borz’ asked Darren Till to come to Abu Dhabi so that they could fight via Instagram. He then said that ‘The Gorilla’ declined as he has a fight coming up in a few months. This puzzled Chimaev as he stated he is ready to fight today and does not need months of notice for a fight. 

Khamzat Chimaev’s stellar start has done him well and also caused a few problems. He has catapulted into stardom and is one of the most recognized names in the UFC because of his performances. However, the manner in which he ran through his opponents has caused problems as the UFC hasn’t been able to find him a fight.

‘Borz’, like always, wants to get back into the octagon as soon as possible. However, it’s yet to be seen who and when he will face for his fourth fight in the UFC.
