Khamzat Chimaev has been the talk of the town ever since he made his debut at Fight Island. The 26-year-old has been tearing through the opponents put in front of him thus far. His performances have made him a big star in the UFC, despite having only three fights under his belt. 

Most recently, Khamzat dispatched UFC veteran Gerald Meerschaert in 17 seconds. The fight proved that ‘Borz’ has more to his game than just his wrestling. In the process, he also set a record for the least time taken to secure three wins in the UFC (66 days).

Khamzat Chimaev trolls Nate Diaz’s ‘Soft body’ 

Nate Diaz took to Twitter a few hours back to give his thoughts on a potential fight between McGregor and Dustin Poirier. Diaz shared a photo of the two men and wrote, “Let’s don’t get it twisted I already  smoked these 2 now they play fighting …”

Khamzat Chimaev replied to Nate Diaz’s Tweet. He said, “I don’t play fighting. I fight so get your soft body to Vegas and I will smoke you on dec 19. You are a real fighter so let’s go (Nate Diaz) The UFC and Chimaev are in agreement that the fighter deserves a higher-ranked opponent in a main-event. 

When you have a fighter that is as young, talented, and formidable as Khamzat; finding him a fight might prove difficult. This is exactly what is happening right now. The Swedish international wants a fight as soon as possible. He has even said he would be willing to move up to 185 pounds for the same.

‘Borz’ was rumored to be fighting Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson next. Those rumors, however, were squashed when Chimaev put out a tweet revealing that two welterweight contenders declined a fight against him.

Nate Diaz is currently ranked #13 in the UFC’s welterweight division. His last fight was a loss against Jorge Masvidal for the ‘BMF’ belt. Diaz accepting a fight against ‘Borz’ seems doubtful as he has his eyes set on a rematch with ‘Gamebred’.
