Israel Adesanya gives his thoughts on what lies ahead for him after fighting
In a recent interview, a reporter asked Adesanya if his goals were limited to what happened inside the cage or if it involved things outside the cage as well. ‘The Last Stylebender’ replied, “Both, I’m ready for anything. But for me when I start a family, I want to be there for my kids. I want to be a stay at home dad if I’m being honest, just want to be the cool dad that hangs out with his kids all day…. want to have the time to do that.”

Adesanya continued, “So, I don’t want to be alright son, I’ll see you in three weeks… I’ve seen people go through that, my coaches, my friends…. I want to be there for my kids. So I want to make sure I get everything done and then dedicate my life solely to my kids, solely to my family…. Right now I’m focused on kicking a** and taking names.”
Israel Adesanya has reached the level of fame and stardom that very few athletes achieve. His performances inside the Octagon have allowed him to sign a lucrative deal with Puma, grace the cover of EA Sports UFC 4 among many other deals.
A lot of fighters in the UFC stay past their prime. Consequently, they end up going out on the back of below-par performances. However, ‘Izzy’ plans to retire from the sport at the top of his game. Then he will be able to dedicate the rest of his time to his family and his team at City Kickboxing.
