Jorge Masvidal has called out the 4-division champion in the past. Earlier, Canelo and Masvidal fought on the same night when Gamebred took on Nate Diaz for the symbolic ‘BMF’ belt.
On the same night, Alvarez took on Sergey Kovalev for the light-heavyweight title. While Masvidal emerged victorious in an emphatic fashion with a TKO win over Diaz, Alvarez triumphed over Kovalev with a scintillating TKO win to become a 4-division champion.

Jorge Masvidal vs Canelo Alvarez on the cards?
Both Jorge Masvidal and Canelo Alvarez are capable of pulling in huge numbers. Masvidal recorded the highest PPV number for a UFC event in 2020 when he took on Kamaru Usman in a short-notice fight for the UFC welterweight championship.
Earlier, soon after his emphatic win over Diaz, Gamebred had called out Alvarez for a potential super-fight. “I’m dead serious about trying to fight Canelo Alvarez,
“It’d give me a nice little change. I’ll take my talents over there. I feel like I could shock the world.”
Canelo Alvarez is at the epitome of boxing and remains undefeated inside the ring after losing to Floyd Mayweather back in September 2013.
