It appears as though Jon Jones has priced himself out of a super fight against Francis Ngannou. The former light heavyweight champion Jones has been at loggerheads with the UFC over his pay for a possible fight against Francis Ngannou for the heavyweight title. ‘Bones’ claimed that he would require a lot more money to step into an octagon against Ngannou.
There were a lot of numbers thrown around. White claimed that Jones asked for $30 million. Jones rubbished that idea immediately.
Either way, it appears that the number put forward by Jones was too high for the liking of the UFC brass as they have chosen to go for a fight between Lewis and Ngannou targeted for this summer.

Dana White does not shut down the idea of a potential fight between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou
In a recent interview, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN asked Dana White what he made of Jon Jones separating from his management team and if that would affect the potential fight between him and ‘The Predator’
White said, “Whether Jon has a manager or not, Jon is going to do what Jon wants to do. It’s probably something that Jon needs to work out. Him and Hunter (Campbell) have a good relationship. So I think those guys are going to get together soon and talk.”
Per Dana White, Francis Ngannou vs. Derrick Lewis is being targeted for this summer.
Earlier today, he gave me an update on where the promotion stood with Jon Jones.

The UFC supremo continued, “You look at the last however many years, people ask me who I think the best ever is and I say Jon Jones. Jon Jones is a massive part of the history of this company…. He’s one of the best of all time. Obviously, there are still some big fights that can be made with him, we would love to do it. It’s not like we can not get something done over here.”

White further stated that the UFC is working on a fight between Ngannou and Lewis to take place this summer. If ‘The Predator’ is able to secure a win over Lewis and defend his title, it will only hype up his fight against Jones even more.
However, if he succumbs to a loss against Lewis, fans will miss out on an epic fight between ‘Bones’ and ‘The Predator’.
