A few hours back, a fan reached out to Conor McGregor to share a few words of encouragement for his brother who was battling kidney disease. ‘The Notorious’ replied to the tweet saying, “My man! Respect to you Jesus, standing by your brothers side all time! I am going to show my son this and tell him this is how he is to back his brother in life! Respect! Tell your brother I said to stay strong, listen to his doctors, and take it 24hrs at a time. God bless you.”

Conor McGregor and his road to recovery
Conor McGregor could probably empathize with the fan a lot better since he is also nursing a serious injury at the moment. ‘The Notorious’ suffered arguably the worst injury of his career at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. Since then, McGregor has been taking it one step at a time to be able to use his leg at full capacity once again.

‘The Notorious’ recently provided updates to his fans as to when he will be returning to action and who he might face potentially. ‘Mystic Mac’ stated that he will be back in action in 2022. He also stated that a return to 170-pounds is a possibility suggesting he is either eyeing a rematch with Nate Diaz or aiming for gold at 170-pounds.

Diaz recently stated that he will be back in action in December. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ will take on Colby Covington towards the tail-end of this year. If he is able to secure a win over Covington again, a super fight against Conor McGregor might be something that he will be extremely interested in. However, at this point in time, there are a lot of unknowns and there might be a lot of changes at both 155-pounds and 170-pounds by the time McGregor returns to action.
