In a recent interview with ESPN MMA, Daniel Cormier made a few statements about Khabib Nurmagomedov that sounded more like advice for Dana White. The retired American professional mixed martial artist and amateur wrestler was also a former Lightweight and Heavyweight champion.
Cormier is also just as interested as Dana White in bringing ‘The Eagle’ back inside the octagon. He opened up on this in the interview saying,
“I mean, he just dominated a very tough Justin Gaethje. So yeah that’s why he’s the man that’s why he is the absolute man and that is why Dana White continues to ask him to come back to fighting.”

DC also mentioned how he would pursue Khabib to get back to the action saying,
“I wouldn’t stop, I’d go ten meetings. Every time he’d be willing to take a meeting I would keep talking, I’d keep trying to convince him.”
After his last fight in UFC 254 against Justin Gaethje, Dana White approached Khabib Nurmagomedov several times to reconsider his decision of not returning to the Octagon. However, the decision taken by Khabib remains the same.
