MMA legend and UFC Lightweight fighter Michael Chandler is certainly looking positive ahead of his title fight against Charles Oliveira. After all the glory and success in Bellator MMA, he is still a newcomer in UFC with only 1 fight under his belt till now.
That one fight, though, was enough to fetch him the opportunity for the title, which was left vacant after the departure of ‘The Eagle’ Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In a recent interview, he talked about his upcoming fight against ‘Do Bronx’. He also talked about a potential matchup with Khabib if the latter were to find his way back to the octagon in the future.
“I do believe with my performance, and now with the way, I believe. I’m gonna dismantle Charles Oliveira and then beating Poirier and Conor, it’s gonna be really hard,” he said.
“Whenever you gotta guy like myself who’s gotta wrestling pedigree and now, you’re on 3 fight win streak, the undisputed Lightweight champion of the world that he might somewhat look to be enticed to come back.”
Although it’s exciting for him, he said he isn’t thinking about it for the moment. “But I’m definitely not losing sleep over it. And definitely not even thinking about it because I believe my legacy will continue to grow.
“I will be UFC Hall of Famer whether I fight Khabib or not,” he concluded.

Michael Chandler on his strategy to defeat Oliveira
‘Iron’ was asked about his strategy to face ‘Do Bronx’ and he had an interesting take on it. He predicts he will win in the second round. He said he will make him wilt in the first round.
Chandler adds he will plant seeds of doubt and make Oliveira second guess his next moves. He further says he will bludgeon him with superior strikes, whether on the ground or on feet it doesn’t to him.
“Either way, I am gonna go out there and be dominant, put together a great game plan, be devastating, be violent, and (will) have a great time,” he concluded.
