UFC featherweight sensation, Giga Chikadze has sent a stern message to veteran Max Holloway. The Georgian recently appeared for an interview with TMZ after his victory over Edson Barboza at UFC Vegas 35. Just like his post-fight call-out, he again summoned ‘Blessed’ for a fight.
“I know the guy (Holloway) who was calling at the beginning of the year that he’s the best boxer in the UFC,” Chikadze said. “So when you feel like you’re the best striker, it definitely includes the title to be the best boxer, best kicker. I feel like I’m the best striker (and) I just beat one of the legends. I outstruck him in all different ways.”

“When I called this guy out (Holloway) before, he just gave this interview that, ‘yeah, I know this Giga guy who kicks or whatever.’ But guess what? I’m just not just a kicker guy, I kick the sh*t out of the people. I mentioned this (after the fight). I want to face him inside the Octagon and tell him what’s up,” he added.

Chikadze believes Hollway’s time in the spotlight has ended and his time has begun. He explained how it took less of an effort for him to dispatch Barboza.
“If he thinks that he is the best 145er, that time has come,” Chikadze said. “Now it’s a different time. Now the world circles around me. It’s Giga time.” (via mymmanews)

Holloway, meanwhile, produced a striking masterclass against Calvin Kattar at UFC 257. During and after the fight, he claimed himself as the best boxer in UFC. He is looking for an opportunity to get back into a title fight soon after coming second to Alexander Volkanovski on two occasions. He had a matchup with Yair Rodriguez in July, but an injury forced him out of the match.
