Australian mixed martial artist Jessica-Rose Clark put on an impressive performance this past weekend against Sarah Alpar. The duo fought on the prelims of UFC Vegas 11 where Clark earned an impressive stoppage win.
At the event, the Australian fighter dominated and put a beating on her counterpart. As a result, Alpar took a lot of damage over the course of the fight, which the referee Chris Tognoni stopped in the last round. A barrage of punches followed by a vicious knee just as Alpar was going down, was enough for Clark to secure the win.

On most occasions, a fighter’s dominance akin to her fight against Alpar would win them an extra $50,000. Unfortunately for her, the quality of fights that night was such that Jessica-Rose Clark missed out. Safe to say, the UFC’s decision did not appeal to her, and she made her feelings known.

Jessica Clark on deserving a performance bonus over Chimaev

Clark gave her thoughts on why she deserved the bonus. She said, “Honestly, I thought I was a shoo-in. I had so many high-level fighters message me going that was one of the bloodiest women’s MMA fights we’ve ever seen. The elbows I was throwing and the technique that I was showing. I thought for sure I was getting it…I was bummed out.”

The fighter added, “I thought I maybe should’ve got it over Khamzat or whatever his name is. Cause I’m like he got a 17-second knockout. Like yeah, that’s cool. But they didn’t fight, right? He threw one punch and finished him. I’m like come on man I actually fought for 14 and a half minutes.”
With her win over Alpar, Clark put her name back in the win column with an impressive performance. Do you agree with her about deserving the bonus over Khamzat? Or is that too far-fetched?
