This has been a long time coming for Branson who initially set out with the idea of space travel in 2004 and aimed to get it done by 2007. However,  repeated delays meant a 17-year wait before Branson could realize his long-time dream.

Branson labeled the voyage a “experience of a lifetime”. He further went on to add, “I have dreamt of this moment since I was a kid, but honestly nothing can prepare you for the view of Earth from space. The whole thing was just magical”

Conor McGregor, who once shared a stage with Branson in an interactive Q&A in front of a live audience took to Twitter to congratulate his friend. He said, “To the space pioneer who showed what determination and imagination can do! I applaud you my friend!”
