The finishing sequence saw Groenhart backed up against the corner with Doumbe pressing forwards. Just as Murthel was throwing a left hook, the champion came over the top with a pinpoint right hand that landed right on the temple, and Groenhart fell to the floor. Although he did manage to get up, he barely made it up within the 10-seconds and the referee was forced to call a stop to the bout.

Doumbe secured his Glory Kickboxing welterweight title against Harut Grigorian in 2019 with a stunning TKO. He has since defended his belt thrice against the likes of Alim Nabiev, Karim Ghajji, and most recently Murthel Groenhart. All three wins have come via T/KO, and Doumbe has looked seemingly unstoppable.
The French fighter has firmly established himself at the top of the division at welterweight now. Hence, it will be interesting to see if he stays in his weight class or moves up to challenge himself after three stunning title defenses. Premier MMA organizations will surely be keeping an eye on Doumbe if he is able to continue his run of form.
