Famous YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who will face former UFC welterweight fighter Tyron Woodley later this year in a boxing match, has slammed UFC for not going ahead with Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones.
Recently, he appeared in an interview where he talked about the pay issues of UFC fighters. He also blamed president Dana White for holding one of the most anticipated matchups of the year.

“Francis Ngannou vs Jon Jones, that fight should happen,” he said. “Dana White, pay them the $10 million. He is taking their money. They are the ones making the content. They are the ones getting in the ring (and) risking their lives.”
He then talked about UFC veteran, Chris Weidman, who suffered a devastating injury at UFC 261 against Uriah Hall. The former broke his shin in two halves when Hall checked a leg kick.
“What does that look like? He may never be able to fight again and provide food for his family. These fighters are risking their lives. You can literally die in the ring,” Paul added.
Coming back to Jones vs Ngannou- before the fight between Miocic and Ngannou, White had announced the winner would face Jones. The latter had dropped his light heavyweight title and moved to the heavyweight division a year before.
But things started taking a turn when Jones demanded more pay from UFC as he believed he deserved more for what he has done for UFC, and also considering the stature of the match.

Who has UFC chosen to face Ngannou instead of Jon Jones?
Jones (26-1) has constantly made it clear that he will make his debut in the heavyweight division against Ngannou only if his pay demands are met.
After negotiating for a while, the UFC dropped the idea of Ngannou vs Jones and have moved ahead with Derrick lewis, replacing Jones.
White had made it clear in his interviews that they have even given Jones a chance to fight against a returning Miocic, and the winner would take on the victor of Ngannou vs Lewis.

But Jones has declined it outright. So, for now, Stipe could fight the winner between Ngannou and Lewis next.
It’s a delicate situation circling the UFC and Jones. Either party should come to a truce as no one wants to miss a mega clash between Ngannou and Jones.
