The women’s flyweight division in the UFC is one of the most talent-stacked divisions. Valentina Shevchenko sits atop a division she has ruled for a few years now. However, any fighter in the top 15 is capable of putting on a good performance against the champion. In a bid to make a case for a title fight, two flyweights in Tatiana Suarez and Roxanne Modafferi will clash in an exciting bout targeted for UFC 266, according to recent reports.
UFC is targeting Tatiana Suarez vs. Roxanne Modafferi at 125 pounds for UFC 266 on Sept. 25, sources say. Not done yet but that’s the one they have zeroed in on. Would be Suarez’s first fight since June 2019.

Can Tatiana Suarez maintain her unbeaten streak against Roxanne Modafferi?
Tatiana Suarez has been one of the most impressive talents at flyweight in the UFC. She is unbeaten with a perfect record of 8-0. Since signing with the promotion in 2016, Suarez has secured wins over the likes of Alexa Grasso and Nina Nunes. She has secured an equal number of wins in her career via decision and submission and is an enormous threat on the ground.
‘The Happy Warrior’ has not had the best run of form to date. She is currently 2-3 in her last five fights and most recently succumbed to a unanimous decision loss against Viviane Araujo in January. However, she has remained extremely active and has fought five times since the last time Tatiana Suarez stepped into a UFC octagon (June 2019)

Modafferi will have a 2-inch height advantage and a three-inch reach advantage over her opponent when they step into the octagon. She will be aiming to bounce back into the win column after disappointing results off late. However, it will be easier said than done against Suarez.
