UFC 264 was an important night for both the promotion and for the fighters involved in it. It was the first time since the pandemic that the promotion based in Las Vegas was able to put on a packed show at the T-Mobile Arena, where most of their PPV events are held. 

The night was packed with action as we saw the likes of Tai Tuivasa, Kris Moutinho among others put on a show for a full house packed with a few of the biggest A-list celebrities.

A former UFC champion in Ronda Rousey took to Twitter to comment on the events that transpired after the main event at UFC 264. She said, “I’m amazed that as soon as you hit the ground you were already promoting the next fight @TheNotoriousMMA- I def wouldn’t have had the mind to do that. The other fighters, @ufc and media are lucky to have you.

Is the fourth fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier after UFC 264 a possibility?

After their fight at UFC 257, both men agreed inside the octagon itself that they owed each other the third fight to settle the rivalry once and for all. However, the third fight did not end as anyone would have expected. ‘The Notorious’ snapped his leg in half in one of the most gruesome injuries witnessed live in the UFC. Subsequently, the fight was called off.

In his post-fight interview, McGregor wasted no time in calling out Dustin Poirier for a fourth fight. McGregor believes that fans should not consider this fight a win for Dustin Poirier as the doctor stopped it, unlike their second fight where Poirier earned a decisive win with a second-round knockout win. 

In the post-fight media interviews, both Dana White and Dustin Poirier admitted that a fourth fight would happen at some point down the line. ‘The Diamond’ suggested that McGregor would have to win a fight before fighting him for the fourth time. Unfortunately, given the severity of McGregor’s injury, a timeline for his return is not known at this point in time.
