Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have never missed an opportunity to take shots at each other ever since their second fight ended five years ago at UFC 202. Diaz and McGregor are a part of one of the biggest and most engrossing rivalries the sport of mixed martial arts has ever seen. 

A third fight between the two is inevitable at some point. However, till the time that day arrives, social media has been the battleground for two of the biggest names in the UFC. 

Conor McGregor took to Twitter a few weeks back to praise Nick Diaz on his return. ‘The Notorious’ did not stop there as he went on to add that Nate Diaz’s boxing is ‘piss’ compared to his brothers.

Diaz hit back at ‘The Notorious’ in his latest tweet saying, “@TheNotoriousMMA My boxing’s pi**? I banked on ur face, turned u into a wrestler, and then chocked u b**ch in reality your whole country and belongings are mine. plus I made that fight and u took the bait. then I made masvidals b**cha**s. don’t forget I make this whole sh*t spin.”

Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3- a fight that has to happen 

Nate Diaz has been extremely inconsistent with his activity in the UFC. However, it seems as though the Stockton native will compete twice in a calendar year for the first time since 2019. Diaz has his eyes set on a fight with Vicente Luque in December at the moment.

The Notorious’ has stated that he will return to action in 2022. Many believe that even if McGregor does return to action, it will be in the second half of 2022. The options are limitless for McGregor if and when he decides to come back. However, at this point in time, a trilogy with Diaz is most likely the front runner for ‘The Notorious’ when he does return to action next year. The series is leveled at one win apiece and it will be criminal to settle the scores once and for all.
