The UFC 155 lb kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov, shocked the world when he left his gloves in the center of the octagon after he demolished Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

Ever since then, the combat sports circuit has been reeling from the effects of his decision to bow out of the fight game for good. What’s more, the rumor mill has been rife with whispers of his ‘impending’ return.

What’s surprising is the fact that the rumor mill is not the only entity working overtime, clinging to any signs of The Eagle’s return; for fighters, high-profile officials, and of course, the fans have been clutching at straws.

Keeping recent developments in mind, it seems like Khabib’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, has thrown them a bone. The Egyptian took to Twitter in a bid to stir the pot.

Khabib Nurmagomedov to finally “see” Dana White

Khabib’s intention of returning to the octagon has been a long and arduous game of ‘will they won’t they’. Ever since the Dagestani powerhouse hung his gloves up for good, fans have been waiting for an update on his future.

The biggest hint that Khabib dropped about his intentions vis-à-vis his future in MMA was a tweet back in November. Abdelaziz’s post comes as the second most valuable update on his situation.

The emoji of the palm tree in Abdelaziz’s tweet could very well be a subtle hint to the talks that UFC President Dana White and Khabib Nurmagomedov were slated to hold in Abu Dhabi.

Yeah, I’ll meet with him next month. It actually all lines up perfectly. Conor’s gonna fight that same week, with Poirier.

“We’re talking about Chandler fighting. This fight happened tonight. Then I meet with Khabib next month and we’ll figure out what’s going on,” White had said.

This had come after the UFC head honcho declared that he was looking to sit down with the Dagestani powerhouse while in conversation with the media after UFC Vegas 15.

Many feel that the perfectionist in Khabib is keen on bringing his record to a perfect 30 with his next excursion in the octagon.
