Dana White, UFC President, shared with the media his thoughts on Conor McGregor leaking the official UFC receipt. The former lightweight champion had posted on his Twitter handle, the buy rate for his match against Dustin Poirier in UFC 257.

The document revealed that the “collected reported buys” (at 1,504,737) were 4,449 more than the “projected buys” (at 1,500,238). According to sources, Conor received an estimated amount of $23 million and Poirier around $5 million for their UFC fight 264, which ended their trilogy.

Conor McGregor credited his star power for the buy-out in 2016 as well, in another post. He stated:
“A multitude of times, leading to a $4.2bn dollar acquisition of the company in 2016. Then I went a multitude more, perching the company up to an almost $11bn valuation, where it sits now in today’s market. Incredible!”

Conor McGregor receives a response from Dana White
Dana White, in one of his press conferences, said, “Most of the PPVs that come out are close or more than what they are, so no big secrets out there.” He also gave updates regarding McGregor’s healing process and how soon he could get back to fighting during his interview with the Australian Daily Telegraph. According to White, it all depended on whether he could take the kicks and how fast the leg heals. Overall, he said that McGregor seemed to be “healing up pretty well.”

McGregor had injured his leg on his last match that was the trilogy against Poirier, which resulted in his defeat with a medical stoppage.

McGregor all geared up to fight again in 2023

White is hopeful that McGregor will return to the arena by the end of this year or early 2023. McGregor had a successful surgery on his broken leg and commented that he was feeling “tremendous” afterward. He reportedly had Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy in rehabilitation six weeks after his surgery. It comprised low intensity exercises to help strengthen the injured muscles and reduce stress on the recovering limbs.

Sources reported that he had begun sparring in April and had been sharing posts on his transformative workout regimes. His manager reported that his leg was still in the healing process, and thus, he is likely to return in 2023. His coach optimistically stated that McGregor is in his best shape and is training twice as hard. Can you foresee his immediate return?
