Tony Ferguson is one of the best fighters to have ever fought in the 155-pound division. He holds the record for the longest win streak in the division with 12 fights. ‘El Cucuy’ has fought the best in the lightweight division and has more often than not come out on top.
However, in his recent fight, Tony was beaten over five rounds by Justin Gaethje. Following his fight, a lot of pundits and fans as well labeled Tony ‘finished’. Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov also stated that Tony would not be able to bounce back from the loss given his age.
One loss against a high-level opponent and the MMA community has completely discredited Tony and his achievements thus far.
