Ciryl Gane, as his moniker “Bon Gamin” suggests, is one of the good kids of the UFC. The Frenchman is polite and full of respect for his opponents on and off the arena. His personality, coupled with his swift movements and explosive strength, has made him a fan-favorite among the division.

“Bon Gamin” is the interim UFC heavyweight champion. He secured this belt after beating Derrick Lewis through a KO punch in the third round of the title bout at UFC 265 in August.

In an interview with Adam Catterall of BT Sport, Gane (10-0) spoke about his recent matches and performances. But the interesting scoop came out when Catterall asked him about the legend himself- Jon Jones.

The Frenchman responded in his signature manner, revealing that he feels ‘Bones’ is serious about a move to heavyweight. Furthermore, he seemed excited at the prospect of fighting Jon Jones.

He said, “Yeah, I think he want to go in this division, he want to come in this division. He want to prove he can do it. And he did a lot for that. I saw he pushed a lot… Looking big now. And yes, probably a fight against him is gonna be really great for me because a lot of people compare the style. It’s gonna be a great matchup, I think so. And probably gonna be great for my pocket.”

“Bon Gamin” will face the reigning UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou (16-3) in a title bout at UFC 270. Ahead of the fight, he offered his prediction for the same.

He said, “Um, what’s gonna happen? Uh, I think after it’s gonna be like, maybe like, Jairzinho.. I’m gonna win after five rounds, maybe before.”

Cyril Gane and Francis Ngannou have been sparring partners in the past. Therefore, fans speculate that this might be the toughest challenge for “The Predator” so far.

If “Bon Gamin” clinches a victory over Francis Ngannou at UFC 270, he’ll be paving his way to a bout with Jon Jones as “Bones” has made it clear that he’s here for the heavyweight gold.
