Earlier today, social media services such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger faced a massive outage. The servers for the aforementioned social media sites were down for the better part of six hours, where users were not able to use the applications at all. The outage caused widespread panic and harmed small businesses that rely on these social media platforms for their income.

A host of MMA fighters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the outage.’The Notorious‘ Conor McGregor tweeted, “Twitter baby, we did it!.”
Former lightweight champion ‘The Eagle’ Khabib Nurmagomedov put forth a rather interesting question for his followers on Twitter. He said, “I wonder how many Russian-speaking subscribers I have on Twitter? And in general, is it worth actively tweeting in Russian?” (translated using Google translate).
Интересно какое количество русскоговорящих подписчиков у меня в твиттере? И вообще стоит ли активно вести на русском Твиттер?🤔

Michael Chandler took to Twitter to share a rather interesting take on the outage.
IG being down is a great reminder that your brain, literacy and that book still work. Your hand, that pen and your journal still work. That phone, cell reception and that person you’ve been meaning to call still works. More important things STILL WORK.

Can Michael Chandler emulate Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor?
‘Iron’ Michael Chandler came into the UFC as a multiple-time world champion in Bellator. In his first fight with the promotion, he secured an impressive first-round knockout win over Dan Hooker. The win set him up for a title shot in his very next fight against Charles Oliveira.
Chandler, who nearly secured a round one finish, came up short in that fight as Oliveira stopped him in round two. ‘Iron’ now has the opportunity to bounce back as he takes on Justin Gaethje at UFC 268 in November.
If Chandler can secure a win, he will put himself on a fast track to another title shot. ‘Iron’ will hope that he can get the job done at the second time of asking and join the likes of Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov as UFC lightweight champions.
