Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have been going back and forth on social media for a long time now. The two men dislike each other and have proven that with statements about each other. ‘Izzy’ recently defended his belt for the second time against Paulo Costa at UFC 253. Following his win, Adesanya had to quarantine for two weeks in Las Vegas, before flying back to Auckland.

The Nigerian-born fighter has used his free time to troll the likes of Costa and Jones. Over the past week, the two fighters have taken multiple shots at each other over Twitter.

In the past few hours, ‘Bones’ and ‘Izzy’ have put out multiple Tweets aimed at each other. One such tweet put out by Jon Jones read, “Fighter and coach is mentioning my name in interviews, but refused to sign the dotted line. Straight hoe shit. Mention a man’s dead mother over the internet but looking to fight Jared Cannonier.”

This was followed up with another tweet that read, “If we needed to fight that fight in the next six months, then I would be happy to do that, but again” Shut the f**k up y’all ain’t doing sh*t.”

It’s no secret that Jon and Israel want to fight each other. However, Jones recently relinquished his belt to move up to heavyweight. This makes a fight between the two more difficult to make, as they’re now two weight classes apart. Also, Israel has reiterated multiple times that he wants to create a legacy at middleweight by defending the belt multiple times.

‘Izzy’ has also mentioned that he sees a fight between him and Jones take place during international fight week next year. At this point, however, the fans are thoroughly enjoying the back and forth between the two men.
