YouTuber Jake Paul is not one to wait around. After having fought earlier this year, Paul is immediately jumping back into the ring. However, his time around, he has upped the ante. In what will be his biggest test to date, ‘The Problem Child’ will take on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

Woodley was a UFC champion who defended his belt not once, but multiple times against the very best at 170-pounds. Although recent results have not gone his way, Woodley remains extremely dangerous. He has an equalizer of a right hand as shown in his last fight against Vicente Luque

Ahead of his fight against Paul, Woodley made a bold prediction. Per Michael Benson’s tweet, he said, “Easiest fight and biggest purse of my career. They brought me in to take out the trash. I can’t wait to shut this b**ch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy [from] combat sports”

Can Tyron Woodley redeem himself against Jake Paul?

Tyron Woodley has been in some epic clashes in the UFC. Most notably, the way he knocked out Robbie Lawler to win the welterweight strap is one of the most impressive title-winning performances. However, the fans’ recent memory of him is that he left the UFC on a four-fight skid. Since his last successful title defense, Woodley suffered two stoppages and two lopsided unanimous decision losses.

Woodley has not looked himself in his last few fights and has not secured a win since 2018. Therefore, there is cause for concern that it will be just another easy fight for ‘The Problem Child’.

However, unlike Paul’s previous opponent, Woodley is known for his knockout power. He may not be the most technical striker in the UFC, but he has legitimate one-punch knockout power that he has displayed multiple times before.

Unfortunately, there have been many instances of lackluster displays where ‘The Chosen One’ has failed to land his right hand, fading away as the fight continued. MMA fans will be hoping that the same Woodley that knocked Lawler out cold shows up against Paul.
