Israel Adesanya made his commentary debut last weekend. The Kiwi superstar was part of the broadcast team for the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr card. Izzy served as an analyst and commentator alongside Snoop Dogg, ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard, and Mauro Ranallo.

While Izzy did an impressive job, the star of the night apart from the main event was Jake Paul. The YouTuber made a huge statement to the boxing community on the co-main event of the card.

Paul dominated the fight and earned a spectacular KO in Round 2, shutting down any criticism of his involvement in the sport of boxing.

With over 20 million followers on his YouTube channel, Jake alongside his brother Logan has brought a new generation of eyes to boxing. Adesanya, who was surrounded by the press after the fight had ended, would bump into Jake Paul.

The two seemed very friendly with Paul. The Last Stylebender himself took a liking to Jake after his fight against Nate Robinson, he told the 23-year-old YouTube star, “What impressed me the most is your shot selection, you didn’t rush when you hurt him.

Paul himself would compliment Adesanya on his performance saying, “Your commentary was fire, you were in your flow state.” The stars would take a round of pictures for the media with Paul noting, “If you’re the last Stylebender, I’m the second to last.”

While Jake Paul may be a celebrity first, credit has to be given to him for taking to the sport in a professional manner. ‘The Problem Child’ plans to continue with several matchups. He even went as far as calling out Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis.

Would Adesanya ever consider boxing?

The UFC middleweight champion was asked if he would ever consider lacing his gloves up for a boxing match. Adesanya stated, “Cause you can’t tell me to go into a fight and then like alright you can’t question mark someone. F***ing do my thing.

“I want to make sure I use all my weapons so no one is telling you not to do what you’re good at. But I’m saying if you want the smoke, the octagon is where it is at.”

Adesanya will now look to move up to the light heavyweight division to challenge Jan Blachowicz. The 205 champion recently won the title against Dominick Reyes after Jon Jones had vacated the title. He could now end up facing Stylebender in his first title defense.
