Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa will finally fight at UFC 253 this coming Saturday. The two men will kick start the UFC’s second leg on Fight Island. This fight has been a long time coming. An intense buildup to the clash has seen both men indulge in trash talk repeatedly. Both middleweights have tried their best to get into each other’s head before the fight. The same was the case recently when Adesanya sat down for an interview ahead of his championship fight.

In his promotional duties leading up to the fight, Adesanya was asked a set of quick-fire questions. One of them was, “You’re now represented in the animal kingdom by a Puma. What is Paulo Costa represented by?”
‘The Last Stylebender’ replied, “He is represented in the animal kingdom. Hmm, let me see. Big, dumb, and full of steroids. A farm bull.”
Both men loathe each other and are confident that they will secure the win at the Flash Forum. However, this will not be an easy feat by any means for either fighter. In Israel Adesanya, ‘Borrachinha’ faces someone who has been a revelation in the UFC.

Paulo Costa on the other might prove to be one of the toughest fights for ‘Izzy’ to date. ‘Borrachinha’ too is undefeated in his MMA career. He holds a 13-0 record and has finished 12 of his 13 fights. The only person who has gone the distance with Costa was Yoel Romero.
‘Borrachinha’ will aim to keep his undefeated streak intact and add his name to an illustrious list of Brazilian champions in the UFC. There is a lot on the line for both men, and the fight has all the prerequisites to become folklore in UFC history.
