Stamp, on the other hand, earned her spot in the tournament decider following wins over Julie Mezabarba and Alyona Rassohyna. The Thai icon now seems poised for the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship Final.
What to expect from Ritu Phogat vs. Stamp Fairtex?
Martial arts fans across the globe can expect an MMA clinic when these two contenders go toe-to-toe inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Moreover, the winner is guaranteed the iconic silver belt and a shot at “Unstoppable” Angela Lee for her ONE Atomweight World Title.
Phogat has been waiting for this opportunity since she made her MMA debut in ONE Championship in November 2019. Now she’s two wins away from becoming India’s first-ever female Mixed Martial Arts World Champion, and she wants to solidify her status as a national icon by defeating Stamp and Lee.
“I just want to tell both of them that no one can stop me from winning the belt. I will prove that I am the best,” Phogat said.
Stamp, on the other hand, has her own ambitions. The former two-sport queen is chasing a record-breaking third World Title over three disciplines. Similarly, a win for Stamp will make her the first-ever Thai female Mixed Martial Arts World Champion.
ONE: WINTER WARRIORS fight card
Phogat and Stamp’s matchup serves as the co-main event of the evening. In the main event, Regian “The Immortal” Eersel defends his ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title against
Islam Murtazaev. The Dutch-Surinamese World Champion enters his third World Title defense looking to improve his 5-0 record under the ONE Super Series banner.
