Murad Ramazanov will face former ONE welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam on December 17, 2021, at ONE: WINTER WARRIORS II. Ahead of their intriguing bout, the Dagestani fighter made his intentions clear about wanting a title shot.
Ramazanov, who is undefeated, 10-0, to date, made his ONE Championship debut in February 2020, where he claimed a first-round TKO victory over Myung Ho Bae. Then, the Russian fighter defeated Hiroyuki Tetsuka via unanimous decision in his second bout in the promotion.

Ramazanov’s upcoming bout against Kadestam will be his third fight in the promotion. And the Dagestani fighter thinks it will be the toughest challenge to date. Furthermore, he believes a win against the former ONE welterweight champion could earn him a shot at the title.
In an interview with ONE Championship, when asked about the same, Ramazanov said – “I would say yes, and the reason why is because it gets me closer to my belt… So the most important and my goal is to fight for the belt. If I fight him and he’s in a good rank right now, I’m pretty sure I deserve a title shot.”
“Every fighter wants not to lose and get that zero in his record, but my goal is to finish my fighting career with that zero.” – The Dagestani fighter further added.

Murad Ramazanov on his grappling and striking skills
Ramazanov is one of those fighters who can be effective both on the mat and on the feet. Furthermore, his four T/KO and three submission victories in his career back up the prior statement. However, the rising prospect believes his grappling skills are his strongest weapon.

In the same interview, Ramazanov said – “Grappling, you know, the ground, it’s my trump card and I hope Zebaztian is fully ready for that.”
“You know, I’m ready for any type of discipline. On striking, on grappling- it doesn’t matter, I went through a very strong training camp with one of the best strikers as well as the wrestlers in the world. Probably, you would be surprised with my striking, I will surprise you guys.” – the Dagestani fighter added.
While Ramazanov has the potential to beat Kadestam, the former ONE welterweight champion won’t be a walk in the park. Moreover, fans can expect fireworks when the two lock their horns at ONE: WINTER WARRIORS II.
