The Professional Fighters League is aiming to make major improvements in its operations and the content it provides to its viewers. PFL has named veteran sports media executive Loren Mack as its Vice President of Corporate Communications.
A New York native, Mack has more than 15-years of experience in the sports and media industry. He will be working out of PFL’s Las Vegas office. By leveraging his extensive international background, the veteran executive will aim to maximize the league’s global reach.
Peter Murray, the CEO of PFL, leads a dedicated executive team. Along with others, the team boasts of 16-time Emmy winner George Greenberg serving as the executive producer. Murray highlighted that he is excited about the new signing.

“As the most innovative and fastest-growing league in the world, the PFL continues to expand to a global scale,” Murray said. “Loren Mack brings a wealth of experience and drive to the league. We’re thrilled to have him join the team. He will play a pivotal role in continuing to build the brand in the United States and abroad through impactful storytelling.”
A graduate of UNLV, Loren Mack has experience of working with the top MMA organizations in the world. His love for sports landed him with an intern with the UFC during his junior year. This was a time when the organization was transitioning from being in debt to making its mark on mainstream media. Mack was instrumental in helping the UFC become the giant it is today.

Launched in 2012 as the World Series of Fighting, the Professional Fighters League brings the league format to MMA. Fighters fight through the Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship bouts for the prize of $1 million.
Mack, whose latest stint was with ONE Championship as the Vice President of Public Relations, finds the format very innovative.
“With a world-class list of fighters, I look forward to contributing my abilities to an already remarkable group associated with the PFL,” Mack said. “Having been in this profession for over 15 years, I have never seen a bigger opportunity in MMA than with the PFL.”

“They have re-imagined the way we consume live sports content by establishing an innovative format to crown season-long champions and I am looking forward to continuing to help develop the remarkable stories of the athlete roster,” he added.
The 2020 season of the PFL was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless, the league is planning to unveil an over-the-top streaming service next month. Currently, the league is available in 160 countries around the globe. It also has a domestic deal with ESPN. Due to this season’s cancellation, the ESPN deal for 2020 will roll over to 2021.

Despite the cancellation of the season, PFL has paid a stipend to its fighters. With new signings such as former UFC and Bellator veteran Rory MacDonald, PFL promises to return next year on an even bigger stage.
