At ONE Championship: Revolution, fans witnessed several exciting bouts. However, the main event, a lightweight title clash between Christian Lee and Ok Rae Yoon, had a controversial ending.

Both fighters had their moments throughout the back-and-forth five-round contest. The bout resulted in Ok Rae Yoon winning the title via unanimous decision. However, the judges’ decision didn’t sit well with most MMA fans.

Many believe that Lee had done enough to claim a successful title defense. Even the ONE Championship founder and CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, believes that it could have gone either way. However, Lee won the bout in his opinion.

Following this controversial decision, the ONE Championship competition committee reviewed the fight. After revisiting the bout, it appears that the committee has decided to uphold the judges’ decision. This breaking news became public knowledge when Sityodtong took it to Facebook to explain this situation.

Sityodtong, in his Facebook post, said – “NEWS ALERT: After an official review, the Competition Committee has upheld by majority vote the judges’ decision between Ok Rae Yoon and Christian Lee. Ok Rae Yoon is the undisputed ONE Lightweight World Champion.”

“It was not an easy fight for anyone to score. My friends in the global martial arts community are split roughly 50-50 on who won. While I personally disagree with the judges’ decision, I respect it. In my eyes though, I still think that Christian won.” – Sityodtong added.

As aforementioned, both fighters had their moments inside the cage. Before the judges announced their final decision, fans were happy to witness this intriguing lightweight title clash. It was the controversial decision that left the fans split in 50/50.

As a result, several fans took it to social media, calling out for a rematch. And a rematch is the only thing that is going to put this controversy to rest. Moreover, there is no doubt that Lee deserves a chance to reclaim his lightweight title.
