What is next for ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley?

Sean O’Malley established himself as a top name in the division after two consecutive wins against the likes of Thomas Almeida and Kris Moutinho. The two wins came after a loss against Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera. O’Malley received a lot of criticism for his fight against Vera and many fans in the UFC believed the hype was over.

The promising bantamweight proved them wrong by bouncing back in style with two stoppage wins. O’Malley also recently revealed why he avoids fighting top-ranked fighters in the UFC. ‘Sugar’ stated that he would get paid the same whether he fought the champion Petr Yan or someone unranked in the UFC, such as Kris Moutinho.

After his win over Moutinho, ‘Sugar’ was slated to fight UFC veteran Frankie Edgar. However, recent reports suggest Edgar has been booked for a fight against Chito Vera.
