Bellator 263 features an epic fight between two of Bellator’s most talented fighters in Patricio Freire and A.J. McKee. This will also be the final of the featherweight tournament, with the winner walking away with the belt and a cool $1 million prize. Hence, there is a lot on the line both monetarily and in terms of legacy for both men going into this fight. Tensions, therefore, are at an all-time high between ‘Pitbull’ and McKee.
The promotion recently organized a press conference for Bellator 263. Among other fighters, it involved ‘Pitbull’ and McKee. The two men were involved in an altercation and had to be separated by Bellator head honcho Scott Coker and the security present at the site.
The current champion took offense to McKee mentioning his family and stood up in protest. Seizing his opportunity, McKee snatched Freire’s belt, which was on his side of the table. This further infuriated the champion, who lunged forward towards his foe. ‘Pitbull’ then made a statement by storming out of the press conference.

The last one who talked sh*t like this, I kicked his a** in less than a minute. Now, he deserves the same thing”

During his time with Bellator, Freire has faced the very best the promotion has had to offer. McKee, his latest test, might arguably be his toughest to date. The American fighter is undefeated and has been on a tear recently. He has stopped four of his last five opponents and has looked extremely impressive in his last few outings.
