Bellator 242 delivers in style

The event featured 7 matches. The 4-fight main card kicked off with Featherweight contender Aaron Pico returning to action. The excitement was at a peak as the 23-year-old fighter has a reputation for being involved in finishes irrespective of whether he won or lost.

Pico had 8 fights to this point and held a 5-3 record with all of these wins coming via (T)KO. He has lost once via knockout and submitted on 2 occasions. On the night, Pico claimed his maiden submission win over Solo Hatley Jr in the first round to improve his record to 6-3.

Earlier in his career, the fighter gave fans a glimpse of his proclivity for the KO right from his maiden appearance with the promotion as a 20-year-old where he finished Justin Lin within 4 minutes of the first round.

Furthermore, the event witnessed the return of former CFFC Champion Ricky Bandejas who fell to Sergio Pettis in the main event. The fight went to the judges’ scorecards with former UFC fighter ‘S.P.’ claiming his 3rd career win on the bounce.
