Corey Anderson reflects on his decision to sign with Bellator

In a recent press conference, Anderson was asked if he thought he had made the right decision in joining Bellator after a successful first fight. ‘Overtime’ answered, “I knew I made the right choice when I signed the paper. You know, like I said in other interviews, it was hard for me to get over that fixation I had engraved in my head with the three letters, U-F-C. Those three letters engraved in my head.”

Anderson continued, “When I signed the contract and went somewhere else, it was hard for me to erase that off the wall because I was there for seven years. But I knew right then, I told my wife, I told everybody it makes no sense. This is a way better deal, This is a no-brainer. There is no reason I should even think about this.”

Anderson made a successful debut in his new organization. In Melvin Manhoef, he was pitted against a fighter on a two-fight win streak. However, it took ‘Overtime’ a little over two rounds to finish the fight and secure an impressive debut win.
