New York Yankees icon Alex Rodriguez, in his lengthy Major League Baseball career, achieved many accolades to his name. The former athlete started rising to fame when he made his MLB debut in 1996 with the Seattle Mariners. From his first season, he showed everybody that he was in the game to win. Thus, he became one of the greatest athletes in MLB’s history. His fame in the sports industry earned him several advertisements in his career. 

Aside from those commercials, he once got a chance to appear in HBO’s popular comedy-drama series in 2011. After almost 12 years of his cameo in the famous TV show, the baseball legend looked back at his iconic appearance alongside his former teammate Mark Teixeira.

Teixeira and Rodriguez took some time off from wearing the Pinstripes to appear in the second last episode of the eighth and final season of the show, Entourage.

In the episode where the two stars made their appearance, During batting practice at Yankee Stadium, Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) contacts Teixeira and begs him to raise his investment to $500,000 for a projected Los Angeles-area branch of Don Peppe, an Italian restaurant in New York. Later, A-Rod makes a separate call, telling Turtle to stop bothering Teixeira.

But Rodriguez only shared the clip from the show where he had called Turtle while still being on the field and wearing the Pinstripes. However, Teixeira and Rodriguez weren’t the only athletes who appeared on the show in all its eight seasons. Many big names from the sports industry also took some time off from their day job to appear either in the TV show or the movie Entourage.

Who else appeared on the TV show?

Apparently, the HBO show did not have any issue making fans from the sports world and spending big bucks to lure them into making an appearance on the show.

Among the many athletes who made a cameo were NBA star Russell Westbrook, Boxer Vitali Klitschko, legendary swimmer Michael Phelps, NFL icon Tom Brady, NBA legend LeBron James, and many others.
