The New York Yankees have faced a challenging MLB season. According to reports, MLB has suspended Cardero till the end of the 2023 season.

Jimmy Cordero is out for the rest of the season

Talkin’ Yanks quoting Jon Heyman confirmed the same in a Twitter post. It read, “Jimmy Cordero has been suspended for the rest of the season under MLB’s domestic violence policy.” The league has not shared the exact details regarding the case. But the Yankees, respecting the decision, have released a press note.

It stated, “The Yankees are fully supportive of Major League Baseball’s investigative process and the disciplinary action applied to Jimmy Cordero. There is no justification for domestic violence, and we stand with the objectives, standards, and enforcement of MLB’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.” In addition to this, MLB Insider Bryan Hoch took to his Twitter to quote Aaron Judge’s reactions in response to the incident.

In the Yankees captains words, Bryan shared, “I was pretty upset. I know a lot of the guys on the team are upset. This is in the league’s hands, and the league handed down the suspension. Hopefully he learns from this and becomes a better person.” Additionally, Aaron Boone, the manager of the New York Yankees, shared his perspective on the issue in a conversation with USA Today.

 

On Wednesday, just hours before the Yankees would suffer a 6-3 defeat to the Orioles in the third game of a four-game series, Aaron Boone expressed his condolences and sympathy for everyone affected by the news. He stated, “It’s a sad situation, and our hearts go out to everyone involved.”

Although Jimmy got a suspension for the rest of the 2023 season, he played whopping 31 games earlier this season. He did a decent job as a relieving pitcher, but the latest incident has put him on the wrong side of the fans.
