The legendary American tennis player, Serena Williams, had a tremendous career until the moment she decided to spend more of her time with her family. She has ruled tennis, particularly the WTA Tour, from the moment she started playing in 1995.
Therefore, when in 2016, she secured two big wins, Rodriguez, paid tribute to the tennis star. However, Serena was not the only one Rodriguez paid tribute to. His tribute also included her sister, Venus Williams, who is another iconic name in the tennis world.

What did Williams achieve in 2016 that Rodriguez congratulated her for?
In July 2016, the tennis legend defeated Angelique Kerber in the finals at Wimbledon. Then she claimed her 22nd major singles title. But this was not the only thing. With it, she tied the Open Era record for Grand Slam singles titles with Steffi Graf. She won her 7th and final Wimbledon title while also making it to the finals of the Australian Open and the French Open. Along with securing the singles title, Serena teamed up with her sister, Venus, to win the doubles title at Wimbledon.

Other than this, she also got engaged to her now-husband, Alex Ohanian, in December 2016. He proposed to her at the same hotel where their story began. Now they’re happily married and have a five-year-old daughter, Olympia.
