Ice hockey has lost one of its greatest champions. Chicago Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull passed away a couple of weeks after celebrating his 84th birthday. The cause of death is unknown at the moment, but fans are mourning the loss of an NHL great. Hull played the majority of his career with the Blackhawks and was one of ice hockey?s biggest legends.

Many consider him one of the greatest players of all time. In 2017, the NHL named Hull one of its 100 greatest players. One of Hull?s close friends and a Chicago Cubs legend shared a post in honor of the hockey great.

Chicago Cubs’ legend Fergie Jenkins posted a message in remembrance of Bobby Hull

Jenkins posted a message on Twitter in honor of his friend. He stated that there was never a dull moment with Hull and that he would be missed.?

My thoughts are with the Hull family.? Jenkins and Hull were both Canadians and shared a close friendship as legendary athletes.?

Hull broke several records and created history

Bobby Hull will always be remembered for being the first player to record more than 50 goals in an NHL season. But he was also the first hockey player to sign a contract worth $1 million. According to ESPN, ?In 1972, Hull signed the first $1 million contract in the history of professional hockey (10 years, $1.75 million)?.
