Playing against the Rubber Ducks, the pitcher gave up 5 baserunners and 4 earned runs in the first inning. It was a terrible night on the mound for him, although Altoona did manage to score 5 in the second inning. But since Skene’s girlfriend posted a picture of herself at the game, fans couldn’t help but mock him.

When a page called ‘Baseball Pictures That Precede Unfortunate Events’ posts a picture, one can assume some levity is involved in the situation. The Twitter user screenshot the picture from Dunne’s story, posting it with no context, and no explanation, but fans understood.

As they mocked the two athletes, there was an attack on their ‘overhyped’ skills too.

Some thought Dunne jinxed Skenes, while another pointed out that Skenes’ LSU teammate and No. 2 draft pick, Dylan Crews, is not doing too well either right now.
