As the Philadelphia Phillies outshone Arizona last night, Michael Phelps stole the thunder in a positive light. Teaming up with the ?The Big Unit? himself who was in attendance, the super swimmer showcased his baseball instincts with an ?An absolutely on-brand first pitch? and mandatory pre-swim warm-up.?

Two GOATs Sharing A Lovely Cross Over Moment

As per a tweet posted by @MLB Randy Johnson, the 10X All-star himself was seen showing a clip of the first pitch that Michael Phelps threw, sharing his wisdom. Talkinyanks too posted on Instagram this amazing cross-over moment between the man with 28 Olympic medals and the Diamondbacks royalty. In another clip posted by the D-Backs?s official Twitter account, Phelps, wearing an Arizona jersey, made the first pitch after some typical swimming shoulder stretches setting the entire crowd into booming applause with his GOAT attitude. There couldn?t have been a better start to the game that went on to incline in favor of the Phillies.?

The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 6-1 victory, Saturday night. With a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-seven series, the Phillies are now only one victory away from winning the NL pennant and moving on to the World Series. While Arizona tried their best to tank the Phillies, this time, the latter had the lead.?

Some moments of the game are worth mentioning. With two outs in the top of the first, Bryson Stott drove an RBI single to right field to give Philadelphia the early lead. Diamondbacks catcher Gabriel Moreno attempted to score from third base with runners on the corners, but Ketel Marte turned and threw back home. Bryce Harper collided with Moreno at home plate and scored, giving the Phillies a 2-0 lead. With that, the 38-year-old Olympian?s ceremonial pitch worked like a charm inching them closer to the coveted Commissioner?s Trophy.?

Phelps hails from Maryland and received his training from Bob Bowman, the current Arizona State University swim coach. He has also extensively contributed to the school’s swimming program owing to his interest in training upcoming swimmers. Apart from taking part in the Waste Management Phoenix Open celebrity Pro-Am in Scottsdale, he is an advocate for mental health. As of the proceedings of the game, it was evident how he holds Randy Johnson in high regard.?
