Even though the Portuguese legend is currently playing his trade in the Saudi Professional League with Al Nassr FC. Ronaldo is lighting it up with sensational performances. His influence is so massive that players from different sports domains idolize and admire the greatness of the former Real Madrid star. Most recently, his influence was on display at the ongoing World Baseball Classic.

The competition started a couple of days ago, bringing an end to the long baseball off-season. During a recent game between Panama and The Netherlands, Ronaldo’s influence was seen. The Dutch team honored the soccer legend after scoring a run.

With the World Baseball Classic underway, baseball is finally back. The top baseball nations are competing against each other to take home the glory. In a recent game, The Netherlands paid homage to Cristiano Ronaldo by using his iconic “Siuu” celebration after scoring a run. This was when the Dutch side scored their second run against Panama in the top of the fifth inning. Fox Sports: MLB shared a video of the epic moment on Twitter.

In the Tweet, they said, “SIUUU!!! The Netherlands with the 🔥 celebration @Cristiano x @FOXSoccer”.

This moment has hyped up fans. Fans celebrated Ronaldo and called him the GOAT, lauding the celebration. It’s safe to say that the reactions were overwhelmingly positive.

Talking about the game, the Netherlands went on to beat Panama with a score of 3-1, thus securing their second straight win. The Dutch side is looking strong, led by Xander Bogaerts, who joined the San Diego Padres this MLB off-season.

The Netherlands has emerged as a dark horse to win the World Baseball Classic

Three teams are considered favorites to win the World Baseball Classic. These are the Dominican Republic, the United States of America, and Japan. Puerto Rico is another favorite, but not as much as the first three. The Netherlands have won their first two games, establishing their status as a dark horse.
