In the video, Derek gave a brief of his first meeting with Gretzky. He shared,” Can’t tell. You know a lot of times you meet someone for the first time...don’t know what they said; You don’t know what they’re wearing; You don’t even know where you were. But you know how they made you feel. And Wayne went out of his way to be very supportive of me and my career, and to this day, I appreciate him for him.”

No wonder Derek Jeter felt special after getting unbelievable support from the great Gretzky. Anyone will feel special about the support from a Legend, who played 1487 NHL games in his career. He also holds the record for most goals in NHL history, with 894 against his name with 2857 points. Gretzky retired after his last appearance in the 1998-99 season.
