The most impressive home ever to hit the market in Tampa Bay was the mansion at 58 Bahama Circle, owned by MLB icon Derek Jeter. Having lived in the beautiful house for many years, the shortstop with his family moved to Miami, Florida. The couple moved to Miami after the shortstop became the CEO of the baseball team Miami Marlins in 2017.

NFL star player Tom Brady rented out the Tampa Mansion from the shortstop. It was before the start of the 2020 season, as the player signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both the athletes were friends and agreed on terms to rent out the house. As huge and beautiful as the mansion was, there were a couple of things that the quarterback did not like. Those things may have tampered with Brady’s decision to buy the house from Jeter.

Did Derek Jeter evict the NFL legend?

At the time when the NFL legend Tom Brady wanted to rent the Tampa mansion from Derek Jeter, the long-time friends agreed on a couple of terms. One such thing on which they agreed was the rent, which was a massive price of $75,000.

According to the real estate agent, Mr. Stephen Gay, “Tom and Derek negotiated favorable terms in the lease agreement so the Jeters could list, market, show and sell the property for sale.” It also meant that any home tours with the prospective buyer would not be including any kind of meeting with the Brady family.

Therefore, Jeter listed the mansion on the market for $29 million. Before doing so, he had already made it known to his friend. Therefore, no eviction of any kind ever took place.

Why was Brady not interested in buying Jeter’s mansion?

One of the reasons that the NFL legend did not think it best to buy the mansion for his family was because of the proximity to the water. After a short period of moving in, Brady told Howard Stern what he did not like about the place.
